II. Interaction of the Properdin System with Polysaccharides perdin endotoxin complex in the
usual fashion. The partial inactivation of C'3 by this endotoxin may be due to contaminating
cell wall constituents. Diphtherial toxin, a classical exotoxin (13), does not combine with
properdin. It should also be noticed that these toxins are anticomplementary at the levels
tested and inactivate other components of C'.
